3. Complete the text with the missing words.

Ukraine is a big country in the centre of Europe. The geographical centre of Europe is in the Carpathian Mountains, near the town of Rakhiv. Ukraine has a favourable geographical position and good relations with many European countries. It borders Poland, Slovakia and Hungary in the west, Romania and Moldova in the south–west, Belarus in the north and Russia in the east. Ukraine’s landscape is mostly flat, with the Carpathian Mountains in the west and the Crimean Mountains in the south. The longest rivers are the Dnipro, the Dnister, the Southern Buh and the Donets. The Dnipro is the major river in the country and the fourth longest in Europe. It divides Ukraine into two main areas – Livoberezhna to the left and Pravoberezhna to the right. Ukraine is washed by the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. They are warm seas and very important for the country. The climate varies from north to south. But it has changed a lot recently. Not only summers are getting hotter but also winters have become warmer. Sometimes there is little snow in January, and there have been winters when it rained on New Year’s Eve in Kyiv.
