1. Lviv Region.
Lviv region lies in the western part of Ukraine. Its territory stretches from the Roztochchia hills in the north to the Carpathian Mountains in the south. The region is crossed by several rivers, the largest of which is the Dniester. The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and mild winters. The region covers an area of about 21,800 sq km.
