Write a short science–fiction story, or a short story about a robot pet.
Last summer, I got a robot dog called Bolt. He looked like a small white puppy with shiny blue eyes and could understand more than fifty commands. Every morning he greeted me by wagging his tail and saying, “Good morning, Alex!” Bolt could fetch my slippers, play songs, and even tell jokes. One day, his battery ran out while we were playing outside, and he suddenly stopped moving. I thought I had lost my best friend! Luckily, after charging him, Bolt blinked his eyes and said, “Missed me?” I laughed and hugged him. From that day, I knew that even robot pets can feel like real friends.
