4.Look back at Dr Haster’s letter and answer the questions in pairs.

1. The letter has four paragraphs. What is the main idea or purpose of each one? The first paragraph is about the reason of writing. The second one is telling the problem of the topic. The third paragraph is about arguments and suggestions. And the last forth paragraph is the authors opinion.
2. Find examples of the use of facts to support opinions. Why does the writer use them? The author uses them to prove the facts.
3. Find uses of transitional phrases. Why are they used? They are used to continue the idea not to lose the chain which author tells.
4. Find examples of rhetorical questions, i.e. questions that the writer does not expect an answer to. Why does Dr Haster use them? She uses them for readers to think over them. These are open questions for all.
