6. In groups of 3–4, ask one another about the mass media your lives. Ask: – if your mates like reading online editions and why (not); – how often they read periodicals; – what news websites are their favourite; – what types of mass media they prefer.

Student A: Do you like reading online editions of newspapers or magazines? Student B: Yes, I do. It’s faster and easier than buying paper copies. I can read the news on my phone anytime. Student C: Not really. I prefer watching the news on TV — it feels more real and interesting. Student D: I like both. Online editions are great when I’m in a hurry. Student A: What types of mass media do you prefer — TV, internet, newspapers, or radio? Student B: I prefer the internet because it’s quick and I can choose what I want to read. Student C: I enjoy TV, especially evening news. Student D: I like listening to the radio in the car and reading online news too.
