2. A. Look at the picture. What do you think Bill and Stu are making? Listen to the dialogue and find out. Then read it out in groups.
What do you think Bill and Stu are making? They are trying to put together a bedside table.
B. Read again and find sentences that prove the following.
1. Stu and Bill believe they don’t need Liv’s help. Bill: "I think we can manage by ourselves." Stu: "Leave it to us, Liv."
2. Liv is listening to loud music. Stu: "Actually, can you turn that music off? I can’t hear myself think."
3. Liv doesn’t want to turn on the light. Liv: "Do it yourself. I’m reading my magazine."
4. The boys decide not to use the instructions. Bill: "You just join these bits of wood together."
5. The boys aren’t sure of what they’re doing. Bill: "This can’t be right. There are four holes on the top." Stu: "It’s probably upside down. Let’s turn it over."
6. Stu and Bill hadn’t noticed the wheels in the box. Stu: "Wheels? What wheels?"
7. Liv could see a picture of the bedside table all along. Liv: "Because I’m clever… And there’s an advert for it here, in my silly magazine."
