2. Use the sentences in Exercise 1 to complete the story. Link the sentences using so, unfortunately, and or but. More than one answer is possible.
A boy was sitting on the sofa, trying to read a book. Unfortunately, his younger brother was hitting a drum and the noise the drum made was very loud. The music was terrible, so the boy stopped reading and put his book down on the sofa. Then his little brother started playing a keyboard, but both boys were happy.
3. Look at the three pictures. Write the story shown in the pictures. Write 35 words or more.
A girl went to the bookshop because she wanted to buy a book. She looked at the books in the window, but then she saw the sign on the door. It said “Closed”. She was disappointed, but then a man came out and gave her the book. She was very happy.
